Material

The VIP Pad is made with a unique polymer called VEteq™. It is not a gel. This material is a unique, viscoelastic polymer that was designed over 50 years ago to prevent and treat pressure sores and ulcers in human medical settings. Rigorously tested worldwide in peer reviewed research, this polymer is the universal gold standard in impact protection. The material behaves like fat and skin and doesn't leak or bottom out under pressure, providing a layer of cushioning to the horse's back.

Sizing

Pony: Spine length of 17.5”, designed to fit English saddles with seat sizes 15.5” and smaller ponies (11, 12 and 13 hands).

Medium: Wider tree point coverage than the Large and Pony sizes, spine length of 20.4” and is designed to fit English saddles with seat sizes 15.5 - 17” and youth Western saddles.

Large: Our most popular size for English riders, with a spine length of 22”, fits English saddles with seat sizes 17 – 18” and Western saddles with seat sizes 14” and under.

XL/Wide: Fits English saddles with seat sizes 18"+, Western saddles with seat sizes 15"+, and works well for a horse that has a wide barrel, such as a draft, draft cross, or large warmblood.
